Florence Knoll sideboard for Knoll International

This florence knoll sideboard was designed in 1961. The sideboard is manufactured by knoll international in germany. This sideboard is made of wood and has the color black, or "ebonized oak" as the manufacturer describes it. The frame is made of polished chrome plated steel, the legs are adjustable. The sideboard has 4 doors with 8 shelves behind them, providing ample storage space. The handles are tightly integrated into the doors, which makes the sideboard even more modern. Florence knoll designed this series because she had changed the standard executive desk into a table top desk. She needed space for her files, but unfortunately she could not find it in existing designs. So she designed the sideboards this way. Low and clean, but with enough space for files. The condition of this sideboard is very good. The wood is in very good vintage condition, as is the frame. The frame has been re-polished and the cabinet has been completely cleaned.
