Unique workshop piece in chamotte white stoneware. Very thick glaze, with bubbling effects and layered decorations in shades of grey, aubergine, khaki, and pink. Abstract design with polychrome glazes. A true decorative object as well as a utilitarian piece. Signature on the front: monogram engraved in the raw glaze, before firing. When viewed from different angles, one can distinguish a D C if read one way, and U A if the dish is turned over. It also evokes the independent workshops of the 1970s, although it is not possible to attribute the piece to a specific artist based solely on this monogram. In very good condition, no chips or cracks. Heavy in hand. Dimensions: 27 X 24 X H4cm.
