Tulip chair by Pierre Guariche for Steiner, 1950s. Seat shell in cast aluminum, tubular steel legs. Overall in very good condition, more than signs of use, note however some marks of its age (see photos): small old traces of oxidation on the aluminum and on the original paint (black) of the legs. (We chose to leave the chair like this since it is perfectly usable as is and considering that these light marks are part of its patina and testify to its age - in the same way as the patina of a 19th century bronze for example - But as it is also a question of taste, the legs can also be repainted and the seat brushed, the chair will then have its original new appearance.) Also note: the chair "empty" is very slightly "wobbly" (wear of one of the small pads / tips at the end of the legs no doubt), but perfectly stable with the weight of a person sitting on it. Light, sturdy and very comfortable chair that comes to us from the 50s and reminds us of the aesthetics and the high quality of the design of those years, which has become iconic and timeless. Dimensions approx: height (back) 73 cm, width 46 cm, depth 54 cm. Seat height 42 cm. Possible shipping by Colissimo.
