Postmodern table lamp model Caio by Catellani & Smith, 1980s.

Very rare table lamp from the Italian manufacturer Catellani & Smith from the Oggeti Senza Tempo collection of 1989. A postmodern design with a playful touch. With its flexible elements, the lamp resembles a living character. A recurring element in Catellani & Smith's designs is the reflective disc and an inserted indirect lighting effect. The lamp features a metal reflective disc held by a clip at the end of a flexible arm. The stem is a simple threaded rod situated on a dome-shaped base, traversed by a small cuboid in brass. The flexible gooseneck with reflector is connected to the stem via a brass ball. The reflective arm can be manually adjusted. The lamp is in very good condition with minimal signs of wear and patina. The electrical system has been professionally renewed.
