This porcelain trinket dish was made by the lys royal manufacture in france, decorated with a barbel motif. This model is a reproduction of the motif used by the manufacture de la reine in paris in the 18th century, a motif particularly appreciated at the court of marie-antoinette. The barbel motif was a very fashionable decoration among the french nobility in the 18th century, especially for table services. Marie-antoinette owned a sèvres porcelain service decorated with barbel and pearls. This model is a limited edition.
