Art Nouveau buffet, 1890s

We present to you this massive walnut buffet, dating from the 1890s. It consists of a base with two doors and drawers, and a tall upper unit that includes several glazed cabinets. The piece is topped with a straight and slightly protruding cornice. The door panels feature carved patterns, repeated in the upper section. The glass of the upper unit is crystal and bevelled. The buffet is complemented by brass escutcheons and decorative hinges, and it has been restored and revarnished with shellac.
