An elegant Biedermeier commode crafted in Germany circa 1830–1840, veneered in beautifully figured cherrywood. The front showcases a striking, symmetrical grain pattern with rich flame figuring, characteristic of high-quality Biedermeier craftsmanship. Its clean, architectural form is softened by gently rounded edges and supported by slender, tapering legs, giving the piece a refined sense of lightness and proportion. The commode features two spacious drawers, fitted with original working locks and keys. The hardware has been carefully preserved and, where necessary, complemented with period-appropriate elements. Professionally restored in our workshop with great respect for traditional techniques. The surface has been hand-finished using shellac French polish, applied in multiple thin layers to achieve depth, clarity, and a soft, elegant sheen that enhances the natural beauty of the cherrywood. The interior is clean, refreshed, and ready for use. A timeless and authentic example of German Biedermeier furniture—perfectly suited for both classic and contemporary interiors.
