Pair of golden Louis XV style armchairs – Petit point tapestry. Elegant pair of Louis XV style armchairs, made of carved and gilded wood, featuring a beautiful flowing silhouette typical of Rococo taste. The shaped backs are adorned at the top with a delicate carved decoration of foliage and shells. The curved armrests, finished with scrolls, harmoniously extend the lines of the carved seat rail. The whole rests on four cabriole legs. The armchairs are upholstered in a petit point tapestry on a beige background, decorated with bouquets and garlands of flowers in shades of pink and red. The arm caps are upholstered in the same fabric. The upholstery is highlighted by a row of decorative nails. The gilding shows a beautiful antique patina with visible wear and repairs, particularly on the underside, contributing to the charm of the whole.
