Pair of leather armchairs by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Maxalto 1985

In this advertisement, you will find a very rare pair of leather armchairs designed by the Italian duo Afra and Tobia Scarpa. The armchairs were manufactured by Maxalto as part of their Artona collection in the mid-1980s and are known as model 8552. They feature a rounded structure made of curved laminated plywood with low armrests, all covered in dark green quilted leather. Maxalto produced two versions of this armchair - Model 8551 (without wheels) and Model 8552 (with wheels). In addition to this pair, you can find a set of four black armchairs among my other listings. Good vintage condition. Minor scratches may be found on the sides.
