“Monterey” sofa by Folke Ohlsson for Bodafors, 1962

Swedish oak sofa with removable cushions recently reupholstered in light fabric. Original Bodafors mark. Folke Ohlsson, 1962, “Monterey” model. Designed by Folke Ohlsson, the “Monterey” sofa expresses the structural lightness of 1960s Swedish design through an open oak frame articulated by slender vertical elements at the back. Gently shaped armrests flow into the uprights in a continuous line, while the removable cushions leave the architecture of the frame clearly visible. Manufactured in Sweden by Svenska Möbelfabrikerna Bodafors in 1962, it retains its original mark indicating the designer, manufacturer, country and year of production. The cushions have recently been reupholstered in a light fabric. Good condition. It may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. AF1037
