Louis Philippe gilded mirror, mercury glass, circa 1830-40 (55x40 cm)

Antique French mirror, in the style and period of Louis Philippe, circa 1830-1840. Frame in carved, stuccoed, and gilded wood with mercury glass. Time has left its mark on the mercury glass: it is a mirror to admire rather than to look into. Condition: the original gilding has some losses, visible in the photos. Minor restorations in the corners. The wooden back was replaced during the 20th century. Otherwise, in very good condition. Dimensions: 55 X 40 X 5 cm (frame), 44 X 29.5 cm (glass).
