Beautiful, rare desk lamp designed by W.H. Gispen for Daalderop KMD (Royal Metalware Factory Daalderop) in 1928. The lamp is made of nickel-plated metal and has a bell-shaped shade. This example is probably from the 1950s. The desk lamp is called 'The Tumbler' because it can be positioned in various ways, as the heavy ball base acts as a counterweight. The heavy metal ball rests in a metal ring that keeps it in place. Height in upright position is 39/40 cm. Shade diameter is 14 cm, length 15 cm. The ring where the lamp rests has a diameter of 14 cm. In good working, vintage condition with great patina. The lamp has an industrial look and feel. See all images for a good impression.
