Rare, Föhl hurricane candle holder. The candle is inserted into a cap with a spring, and when lit, the spring keeps it level with the top. The top cap has a notch on each side to prevent the candle from popping out. It comes with its original transparent glass dome, a very rare and beautiful piece! It is in good condition with some wear on the coating, but no damage, cracks or chips. Slight unevenness along the edge/bottom of the glass dome. It is approx. 25 cm high, 13 cm in diameter (glass dome) and weighs approx. 1000 grams. The Föhl company was founded by Adolf Föhl in 1958 together with his wife Gertrud. Adolf Föhl GmbH + Co KG is an award-winning company that won first prize at the international zinc casting competition in Nuremberg in 2006 and the international Newcast Award in Düsseldorf in 2007.
