Sculpted Library of the Bate Collection

We offer for sale this magnificent hand-carved library cabinet featuring musical instruments, made for Charles Taphouse of the Oxford music shop, and later owned by the University of Oxford in the Bate collection around 1830. This cabinet has been lightly restored, including a deep clean, hand conditioning wax, and manual polishing from top to bottom. It is in very good condition for its age.
