1970s vintage chrome table lamp

Sculptural lamp in chrome metal. Italy, circa 1970–1975. In the style of Gaetano Sciolari and Romeo Rega. Chrome metal, black cylindrical shade. Structure composed of an architectural stacking of chrome discs forming a three-dimensional sculptural shaft, resting on a stepped cubic base also in polished chrome. This model perfectly illustrates the Italian modernist vocabulary of the early 1970s, characterised by the use of mirror chrome, repetitive geometric shapes, and a design close to sculpture. The modular composition, both rigorous and decorative, evokes the works of Gaetano Sciolari and Romeo Rega, major figures in Italian design of this period. The lamp has a strong visual presence and notable craftsmanship quality, typical of high-end Italian productions aimed at an interior architecture and collector clientele.
