Charming original watercolour signed by Paul Delormoz, depicting a young woman arranging a bouquet of flowers in a blooming garden, with a house in the background. A delicate scene, full of softness and poetry, with fresh and bright colours, characteristic of 20th-century French figurative painting. Born in Paris in 1895 and died in Vincennes in 1980, Paul Delormoz was a painter trained at the École nationale supérieure des Arts décoratifs. Throughout his career, he exhibited at the Salon of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, the Autumn Salon, the Salon of Independent Artists (of which he became a member), as well as the Marine Salon. He also created several decorative frescoes for public buildings, notably at the château and the Town Hall of Vincennes. His work, inspired by his travels and walks, prominently features French landscapes, scenes of daily life, flowers, and mountains. Several of his works are now held in public collections and museums.
