Dessert Bar Carl Auböck, Austria, 1960s

A beautiful example of modernist minimalist design, this two-tiered drinks trolley or serving cart dates from the 1960s/1970s. Designed by the Werkstätte Carl Auböck workshop in Vienna, it is a stunning mid-century piece. The trolley features two wooden shelves supported by a blackened iron frame, enhanced with elegantly wrapped wicker/rattan handles. It remains in good condition, showing only a slight patina and signs of age, and rolls smoothly and effortlessly. Its versatility allows it to serve perfectly as a bar cart, tea trolley, serving cart, or flexibly placed side table, combining functionality and style.
