Summer portrait: woman in hat, nineteenth century

Protected from the sun by her elegant hat generously wrapped, this woman poses in a light dress and lace collar and high belt in front of a purple velvet drape. So many small details that make it possible to place this portrait temporally in the second half of the nineteenth century, most probably under the reign of napoleon III. This lady certainly from bourgeois society wears a refined toilet but not too ostentatious, light without being indecent with regard to the morality of the time. A real piece of history that will adorn - we hope - a sunny room, paying tribute to the outfit of this beautifully portrayed lady.
