This lithograph “les aspects de la nature - l'ile” is signed henri rivière and bears his red stamp at the bottom left, the publisher's stamp at the bottom right. The work is authentic and old. For the condition, note in the margin a 4 cm tear going up to the work (0.4 cm), stains and traces of folding. On the litho, we note a tear (0.4 cm) and small stains in places. The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be barely visible. Sold as presented. Henri rivière (1864-1951) is a french painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then with intaglio engraving, specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer in 1886, from the shadow theater to the chat noir cabaret, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, woodcuts, lithography and watercolor (he painted around a thousand watercolors).
