Pair of bistro chairs N°18 1/2 seat art nouveau, 1930

Wood-curved chairs n°18 -1/2. Production from 1910 to 1925. It is difficult to define the manufacturer without saying a nonsense. The 1/2 format (or kleine stühle/ "small chair") appeared in 1885 at thonet in order to optimize seating capacities in public establishments. The house chairs are 41 cm in diameter. Beautiful wooden seat decorated with a very art-nouveau motif. Seat height: 47 cm- total height: 88 cm. Seat diameter 38 cm - Very good general condition and beautiful walnut-light patina.
