Set of 6 Space Age Tulip Chairs by Chromcraft USA, 1960s/70s

Splendid and very rare series of 6 chairs circa 1970. Made in the usa by the american company chromcraft, they were distributed in france in very small series by roche bobois. Tulip-shaped base in copper-plated then chrome-plated metal (see photo of label) swiveling 360° supporting a translucent gray-green tinted acrylic shell with ecru leather cushion with zipper and velcro (changed on the shells). Height at the backrests 81 cm, seats 46 cm, width 55 cm, depth 53.5 cm, diameter of the bases 41 cm. Very robust, ultra stable and comfortable (very ergonomic), these chairs are in exceptional used condition. We will just note a few normal micro scratches on the acrylic and chrome without affecting the general aesthetics. Opt for the difference (we are fed up with the white knoll chairs that are so common) and the colorful design!
