Antique French flour chest in oak – 19th-century farmhouse side table

Antique French flour chest dating from the 19th century. Made of solid oak, with a large hinged top that opens to reveal a spacious storage compartment. Traditionally, this type of furniture was used in rural homes to store flour and other dry goods. The simple construction, tapered legs, and wide wooden panels are characteristic of French farmhouse furniture. At 73 cm in height, this piece can also be used today as a side table, console, or storage table. The oak has a warm natural colour with visible grain and signs of age and use.
