Hexagonal coffee table by Claude Berraldacci, composed of two superimposed tabletops with three solid, grooved sides and three open sides. This table comes directly from the workshop of designer Claude Berraldacci, who created it in the 1990s. This very rare model was produced in fewer than five examples. The brand was called "La Pierre Haute Couture" (The High Fashion Stone). The stone is the purest travertine available. It comes from the Tivoli quarry near Rome, the same quarry that supplied the Vatican buildings, the Colosseum, and the Trevi Fountain. The travertine from this region is very pure, with few veins and a very light color. The stone is worked with Berraldacci's renowned expertise, resulting in a "softened travertine": a natural, matte appearance, smooth to the touch. It is stain-resistant.
