Pair of Art Deco Bronze and Iron "Fleur De Lys" Fireplace Firedogs. A pair of fine-looking firedogs with a symbolic Fleur de Lys* decoration. A rare model from the 1930s, in the Art Deco style. Very aesthetic shape with two stylized legs on the front surmounted by an imposing fleur de lys in bronze with an aging brown and gilded patina. The bars are made of iron. *The fleur de lys is closely linked to the French monarchy and has long been used as a royal emblem. It became the official symbol of France in the 13th century and was used by the kings of France. It represents purity, honor and sovereignty. Dimensions: Height: 32.5 cm Width: 24.5 cm Depth: 46.5 cm Thickness of the fleurs de lys of approximately 4 cm Thickness at the feet: 2.5 cm Weight: 5.9 Kg Good condition, solid structure with no weaknesses or impacts.
