Magnificent and artistic nude depicting a woman kneeling with her back to the viewer. A black chalk and pastel drawing on white paper by Xavier de Langlais, created between 1926 and 1928. Signed lower right. Protected by glass in a natural wood frame. Simply exceptional! Dimensions: Height 84cm x Width 61cm x Thickness 2.5cm – Watercolor only: Height 63cm x Width 42cm Xavier de Langlais (1906–1975), born in Sarzeau, was a painter, engraver, and writer. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Nantes and then at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He later trained in glassmaking and ceramics.
