Mid-century norman knight wool wall hanging

Very unique vintage folk art wool “kilim” style wall hanging depicting a knight from normandy, france. Hand woven, ca 1950s. What is truly spectacular of this piece is the way the helmet of the knight is woven with wool and brass thread. See detail pictures. The knight is dressed in an armour that is typical for a norman knight. He is carrying a shield and a sword and is standing in front of a blue flag. The wall hanging is mounted on a wooden frame, so it will hang straight on your wall. You can also hang the piece without this frame. The piece is in a good vintage condition, colours are still very bright and there is not any damage to the wool to be seen.
