Ceramic marbled speckled spoon rest dish mixed earths

Just because an object is utilitarian doesn't mean it has to be ordinary! Here is a very nice spoon rest made of terracotta; its wonderful speckled glazing will add an original and colorful touch to your kitchen! It is the result of beautiful artisanal work, probably from a Provençal pottery. It's difficult to date it, as these ceramics with speckled glazing are once again very sought after, and spoon rests, which fell out of fashion for years, are making a comeback with new kitchens that have more fragile countertops than the tile or marble ones we used to have. Some artisanal workshops in Provence have been offering them again for about fifteen years. It comes in lovely tones of blue, ecru, caramel, and khaki. It has a slight indentation for the spoon but can also serve other purposes, like a catch-all in an entryway, on a desk for pens, or in a bathroom for makeup pencils and brushes… It is in perfect condition, with no cracks, chips, or even a scratch. It measures 28 cm in length, 7.5 cm in width, and 2.5 cm in height.
