Robert Goossens Coco Chanel "cob" coffee table

Superb coffee table, from the work of robert goossens, french goldsmith and jeweler, designed for gabrielle coco chanel in the 70s. It consists of a glass tray resting on a gilded metal base. The base represents a sheaf of wheat cob knotted in the centre by a twisted bond. This piece is an icon of 20th century design, one for amateurs and collectors.
