Knoll - Heinz Lilienthal, Carrara marble and metal coffee table

Very well-preserved coffee table by heinz lilienthal for knoll international. Designed around 1965. Six-star construction in chromed metal, top with carrara marble mosaic. Heinz lilienthal was one of the pioneers of german stained glass for church construction in the post-war years. He designed wall decorations in metal, wood, and concrete, furnished ships for greek shipowners aristotle onassis and stavros niarchos, and eventually became a successful designer of tabletop furniture.
