Ricordi de Venezia

Ricordi de venezia is 40 X 50 X 4 centimeters, 1.5 kilos, (16 X 20 X 1.6 inches, 3 lbs), and made from hand hewn wood on wood panel with several coats of matte gesso. From composition to the last coat of gesso, this sculptural artwork took about a month to complete. It has a very architectural vibe, and the shapes, shadows and curved arches reminded me of venice, italy. This is a unique, original piece. The shadows of the dimensional shapes fall on the matte white surface depending on the position of the light source. It would look stunning in any room.
