Modernist Painting by Josef Vanneste (c. 1960) Mid-Century Modernist

Important oil on canvas by the Belgian modernist artist Josef Vanneste, created around the 1950s-1960s. The work features a powerful expressionist silhouette (evoking a miner or worker) with geometric and angular lines. The contrasting color palette juxtaposes deep browns and reds against a textured blue and green background. Style & Aesthetics: A typical work of Flemish expressionism and mid-20th-century modernist design, ideal for fitting into a vintage or contemporary interior. Framing: Sold with its original Montparnasse-style frame that beautifully highlights the depth of the painting. Dimensions (with frame): 60 cm X 70 cm without frame (A very nice wall presence).
