Antique bedside table in waxed wood

Antique bedside table in waxed wood, probably dating from the first half of the 20th century, featuring a drawer at the top and a door opening onto an interior shelf. Made of walnut, it is distinguished by the superb marquetry work on the panel of its door, offering a flamed design with beautiful warm hues. Its compact proportions make it an ideal bedside table to accompany a low bed, or to serve as a small occasional table in a living room. Condition: The furniture is sound, stable, and perfectly functional; the drawer slides easily and the door closes properly. The waxed wood has a beautiful warm patina with some superficial micro-scratches from use and very discreet signs of age consistent with its antiquity. These small signs of authenticity in no way detract from the solidity or charm of this characterful piece.
