A rustic solid oak buffet dating from the mid-18th century, all the wood has been hand-cut, still showing the marks of the tool and the hand of man. Two lovely moulded doors opening onto a middle shelf. The left door has a hook, while the right one has a magnet. Below, there are two drawers with pretty steel handles featuring a diamond shape in brass. The drawer is very thick, made entirely of solid oak. The piece is completely mortised. The two sides are not marked at a third of a third, which gives it elegance. The back is also not marked and slightly detached from the floor. The furniture stands on a plinth, giving it a modern touch. No glass holes, in very good condition, solid, heavy, qualitative, and robust. The proportions are very elegant. The corners are rounded with slight mouldings, typical of the Louis XV style. A piece that will find its place in a very modern interior as well as in an old house with stone walls, for example. Winter is coming, so take advantage of it! This piece was probably restored in the early 20th century, done according to the rules of the art by a good cabinetmaker. You will find divine and subtle small grafts here and there, which give it even more character. A rare piece to find in these proportions.
