Vintage side table on two levels with lighting circa 50's/60's

Vintage mid century two tier side table with metal magazine rack with lighting, from France, circa 1950s-60s. What sets this side table apart from others is its design. The square-shaped top & the second shelf are made of wood, with a teak-colored veneer. The frame above, the inverted hairpin legs & the “v” shaped magazine rack, are made of metal with a brass colored finish. The floating frame just above the top shelf is a perfect square, very pretty in contrast to the warm colors of the wood. The frame itself allows certain objects to be placed against the sides and the backrest. It connects to inverted hairpin legs that double as handles, to make the piece easy to grip and move. The legs all have their original, black, plastic foot caps (see photos.) Under the second shelf, what makes this piece even cooler is: a functional lamp, with its original cord & its "on" switch /off". The light works with a bayonet bulb (not included.) the cord has a European plug up to 250 volts (see photos.) the piece is in very good overall condition, original & vintage, with light marks, signs of age & previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time on the overall structure, shelves and legs. A few faded areas of color and some patina from age on the handles, but nothing that detracts from its functionality and cool look. The table is strong, stable & the perfect size to maximize space in any room. A superb piece of retro decoration, which can be used as an end table, bedside table, plant holder, etc. Photos taken in natural light, so colors may vary depending on brightness, angles and perspective in which they are viewed.
