Magnificent set of three Bubble wall sconces by Helena Tynell for Glashutte Limburg. Germany, 1970s. White lacquered metal wall structure. It features a magnificent blown Limburg glass diffuser. Transparent, smoked amber, to diffuse a soft and pleasant light. Exceptional condition. Fast and careful shipping. Helena Tynell (1918-2016): H. Tynell was a Finnish glassmaker. She studied at the Central School of Industrial Design, now part of the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, where she graduated in 1943. Tynell primarily worked with molded and blown glass. Some of her works are part of the permanent collections of the Design Museum in Helsinki, the National Museum in Stockholm, and the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, USA. Glashütte Limburg is a German manufacturer specializing in glass interior lighting that preserves traditional craftsmanship. These lighting fixtures are crafted from mouth-blown glass in a glassworks located in the town of Limburg.
