Pair of vintage designer chairs by Marc HELD — 1960s The refined elegance of French design from the 1960s. I am offering here a rare pair of chairs designed by Marc Held, a major figure in French design during the Trente Glorieuses (Glorious Thirty Years). Architect and designer, Marc Held became known in the 1960s for his furniture with pure and innovative lines, before collaborating with prestigious houses such as Knoll or with automotive design with Renault. He also designed the official furniture for the Élysée Palace under François Mitterrand. Among his iconic creations: The famous "Culbuto" chair published by Knoll International Furniture for Prisunic Numerous interior architecture and industrial design projects The two chairs presented here date from this creative period. Their ingenious metal design, without any screws or glue, gives them strength, lightness, and a timeless design. The line subtly evokes the automotive influence of the time, a field in which Marc Held also left his mark. They have simply been cleaned and retain their beautiful patina. Functional and stackable, they will fit perfectly into both vintage and contemporary interiors. A collector's item for lovers of French design and rare objects. They show signs of age-related patina, some dents, and traces of rust. Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or requests for additional photos.
