A pretty antique sumak tribal rug hand-woven in wool in a vibrant range of color tones obtained with natural dyes and arranged in a style that seems ahead of its time. Although woven around 1900 it retains its color and is in perfect condition. These carpets were woven by nomadic tribes who kept their sheep in the vast region that encompasses northern turkey, iran and the caucasus, carding, weaving and dyeing their wool, then spinning their thread and weaving these beautiful carpets that travel through history.
