Woven wicker basket with handle

You can't get more eco-friendly than this lovely large wicker basket, worn by years of use! No plastic, just wicker, a natural, healthy, and renewable material. Multi-purpose: ideal for shopping, of course, as it is large, well-shaped, and sturdy, easily supporting several kilos of vegetables, but also for the garden to collect fruits, in the entrance for slippers or hats, in a wardrobe for pairs of socks, toys... The possibilities are endless. Durable in its many uses, it is also so by nature: strands of a beautiful diameter, not split in two for the important parts of the structure and therefore for the basket's sturdiness, a handle well secured to the basket, it is the result of beautiful artisanal work, traditional, by a family of itinerant basket makers. It has been used in the garden to transport seeds and small tools, so I have cleaned it carefully, with a hose and then dried it under a bright sun, to remove dust and dirt. It is in good general condition, still very sturdy, but it does show some signs of use: patina of time, a few abrasions, and one strand half-broken, which does not affect the basket's sturdiness; it will last for years and can even be repaired when the time comes by a basket maker (and there are many training in this craft!). It measures 39 cm in diameter, 24 cm in height at the edge of the basket, and about 35 cm with the handle.
