Brass wall lamp and pineapple glass

This charming wall lamp has lines harmoniously mixing straight and curved, reminiscent of the codes of art deco. The glass tulip has a beautiful elongated conical shape and has many facets in relief that diffuse the light nicely, the whole evokes the appearance of a pineapple. This wall lamp probably dates from the 50s or 60s. It has the particularity of having an integrated switch that is manipulated by pulling on a string (perhaps it lacks a finish at the end of the string. Maybe a transparent ball?). This mechanism can be easily removed to mount the wall lamp on an electrical circuit provided for this purpose in the wall and controlled by a "normal" switch. The branch that carries the tulip is finished at the other end with a small faceted finish of transparent plastic. I tested this wall lamp, it works, the switch too. As well as the bulb (with small cap) that I will leave on it so you can easily find a similar bulb when the time comes. It is in good general condition but does not hide its age: the glass is intact except for a small chip on the lower edge, not problematic and totally invisible once in place on the base. The brass is patinated, duller, less golden than originally certainly, with small marks and stripes. The wall lamp has been connected to a long electrical cable ending in an electrical outlet, this is to be removed if you want to use it as a wall lamp in a place where the electrical supply is provided in the wall, and to change absolutely if you want to keep this "assembly", because this cable is in a deplorable state. The wall lamp is 24 cm high, 8 cm wide (this is the diameter of the tulip), about 17 cm deep (i.e. The advance relative to the wall).
