Danish craftsmanship since 1910… text from the company website. Farstrup furniture was founded in 1910 and began as a sawmill. The location near the beautiful surroundings of the langesø forests, west of odense, was optimal, because at the time the large logs of wood were transported by horse-drawn carriage. Chair manufacturing only began in 1918 and thus became the basis for the growth that has characterized farstrup furniture until today. In the 1950s and 1960s, chair production really took off and the company has since produced millions of the finest quality chairs.
