Resin onyx and brass coffee table

Beautiful antique coffee table with solid brass base and structure and onyx top. Louis XV style furniture, made in France in the 1930s-1950s. The brass base and structure have very fine details and are in very good condition. The top is made of a patchwork of onyx pieces set in a transparent resin. The top has a very beautiful shine and the resin gives a spectacular effect of depth. In the interstices of the most important onyx pieces are arranged small fragments of onyx which seem to be submerged so much the depth of the resin is important. Defect: Some very barely visible micro-scratches. A one-off detachment of the upper resin layer mainly on one side of the table in its width and in a corner, these detached areas are of small size and remain stuck to the support, this detachment generates a discoloration (slight yellowing) which partly blends into the substance of the onyx remaining quite discreet although visible. Cracks are present in two places, probably due to a shock or a manufacturing defect, they are approximately 3mm deep and 20mm long, they are barely visible and do not affect the solidity of the top in any way. These defects are visible in the attached photos.
