Niderviller earthenware tureen, Calut pattern

Beautiful lines and a truly unique design define this tureen by Niederviller. The Calut model features a flower hand-engraved in the ceramic and then glazed. Its lovely autumnal orange-ochre color is a perfect match for the season of soups with their diverse, vegetal flavors. The lid's lines are also exquisite, reminiscent of tagines and other oriental serving dishes. It is in very good overall condition, with a small chip in the glaze and a recent minor chip on the lid.
