Opalescent glass cup signed "arvers, france", andré delatte, art deco period around 1920 – 1930. Decoration of hazelnuts and foliage in relief. Good condition, slight scratches of use. Diameter: 24 cm. Height: 4.5 cm. André delatte began his career in 1919 in nancy where he decorated pieces blown by muller glassware. In 1921, he opened his 1st furnace and his glass factory "les verreries de l'est sa", in jarville, near nancy. Following a great success, his workforce of workers doubled in the years 1926, often debauched from the competing glassware: daum. The competition with daum but also the great crisis got the better of the factory which is the subject of an amicable liquidation in the 30s. The signatures of the pieces have evolved over time, we find: "delatte nancy", a associated with a d or "arvers" in 1928.
