Black and chrome desk lamp model 71 by JUMO, France, 1960s.

This desk lamp intrigued us with its functional and rational design based on geometric shapes. Made in France in the 1960s and 1970s by JUMO and attributed to designer André Mounique, this lamp combines the functional sobriety of the Bauhaus movement with the elegance of French design. The base of the lamp consists of a cast iron counterweight covered with rounded and ribbed black metal, featuring chrome plates on the sides. Two elegantly shaped chrome rods connect the base to the ribbed black metal shade, allowing for height adjustment of the shade as needed. The shade is equipped with two B22 bayonet bulb sockets. A white push button, located at the centre of the base, allows for turning the light on and off. The lamp is in good condition with only a few signs of age and use, including a small dent on the front right of the base. Dimensions: Height: 41 cm, Shade length: 45 cm, Base length: 14 cm.
