Pineapple - Relief vase from the 60s/70s upcycled into a table lamp. This extraordinary vase lamp combines an original Jasba ceramic vase from the 1970s with a handcrafted lampshade, whose motif seems made for this ceramic. The vase belongs to the characteristic "Pineapple" shapes by Jasba. Its name comes from the plastic relief that runs over the entire body of the vase. In this colour combination of muted green and bright red, the structure takes on a second association: the overlapping reliefs strikingly resemble fish scales. This detail is reflected in the lampshade. It is covered with an extraordinary cotton fabric, on which fish, waves, water plants, and small stars come together to form a detailed underwater world. The vibrant green of the print matches the shade of the ceramic, while the light background provides a beautiful contrast to the bright red of the neck, handle, and base of the vase. A fine green zigzag trim finishes the shade and emphasises its handcrafted character. Thus, a combination is created where the vase and fabric not only match in colour: the fish scale relief of the ceramic is almost narratively continued in the motif of the lampshade. From two independent vintage and design elements, a new, cohesive object is formed. The lamp operates wirelessly and can therefore be placed independently of power sockets – on sideboards, side tables, windowsills, or the dining table, as well as on balconies or terraces. Especially in the evening, the interplay of ceramic, fabric, and light comes to life. The rechargeable LED light source is charged via USB-C. Brightness and light colour can be adjusted using the included remote control. In addition to various shades of white, coloured light moods are also possible: depending on the chosen light colour, the effect of the green-white shade changes surprisingly strongly, revealing a whole new side of the lamp. The vase has a repair spot at the upper edge, which has been executed professionally. It is only noticeable upon very close inspection. Hence the slightly reduced price. The normal price would be 165 euros. Like all vase lamps, this unique piece was made without drilling. The original Jasba vase remains undamaged, and the conversion is fully reversible. The lamp base is additionally weighted, providing a secure stand.
