Renaissance-style notary cabinet in solid walnut – 19th century. Imposing Renaissance-style notary cabinet, made of solid walnut in the 19th century, featuring monumental architecture and rich decoration. The façade opens with six moulded doors topped by three belt drawers equipped with pull rings. The upper part is structured around a central niche, framed by column-like sides adorned with sculpted capitals, giving the piece a very elegant architectural appearance. The moulded and sculpted panels, as well as the decorated uprights, demonstrate a very high quality of carpentry and cabinetmaking. The sides are also moulded and decorated, a sign of a piece made with great care. The whole rests on an overhanging plinth, reinforcing its massive character and decorative presence. This type of furniture was intended for the storage of archives and registers in notarial offices, hence its traditional name of notary cabinet. Dimensions: Height: 218 cm. Width: 235 cm.
