Moulded cornice at the top with overhanging ears. Scalloped apron at the bottom (small cutouts) Wood with visible grain (stained mahogany or cherry) Very tall and narrow format — typical of a bedroom chest of drawers. Louis-Philippe / Napoleon III style chest of drawers. Wood: mahogany or cherry stained mahogany. Estimated period: 1850–1900. French mass-produced, good quality. The chest of drawers is a typically French bedroom piece, very functional, that has stood the test of time. The tall shape and wooden knobs are characteristic of 19th-century bourgeois production.
