Imposing antique mirror with a richly carved frame, featuring scrollwork and floral motifs, typical of decorative productions from the late 19th to early 20th century. The moulded wooden frame is repainted in celadon blue, with a very elegant natural patina, revealing traces of the original gilding beneath the layer of paint in places. The mirror is made of mercury glass, which gives it depth and a slightly altered reflection, highly sought after in decoration. There are visible signs of age: pitting, oxidation, and wear to the silvering, consistent with its age and contributing fully to its charm. A spectacular piece due to its dimensions and weight (approximately 50 kg), ideal as a floor mirror, in an entrance hall, living room, or boutique. - Estimated period: late 19th – early 20th century.
