This 1950s-1960s library secretary is bright, warm, and even cheerful! It immediately captivates with its blond oak veneer and elegant marquetry pattern in a herringbone design — this chevron play on the drop-down flap and the lower doors adds rhythm and sparkle to mid-century furniture. The piece is organised into three well-thought-out spaces: an open niche at the top to display a few cherished items, a central drop-down flap that opens to reveal a desk area, and at the bottom, two small doors that conceal useful storage. This is a functional and charming piece, perfect for a living room, bedroom, or home office. The piece is vintage and dates from the 1950s. It is made of beech and golden oak veneer. It is in good condition. Some signs of use are visible in the photos, and there is a small discreet veneer loss at the bottom of the lower door. One leg has a small material loss. The glass doors in the upper section are missing. The piece is stable, practical, sturdy, and in good condition. Width: 78.5 cm, Depth: 41.5 cm (78 cm depth with flap open), Height: 151 cm. Visible in Colmar, delivery possible upon request.
