A batch of 4 soup plates from the acapulco series made by villeroy-boch in 1967, based on a drawing by christine reuter returning from a trip to mexico where she is inspired by vibrant and colorful local folk art. Known around the world as one of the iconic and colorful crockery models of the 20th century, this service quickly met with great success. Made of vitro porcelain this batch of hollow plates dates from the early years (late 1960s -1970s) because they are all marked on the back by the blue timbre of villeroy and boch (see photo). In very good condition with almost no trace of use, no scratches and no loss of color.
